I read this story a while ago, after the games but not long after. Anyway someone else a it a rec, and I went to read it. I remembered it, and that I hadn't said anything about it to the author. *ashamed* The story is beautiful, passionate, and the voice is sooooo canon. Almost too much for me. Fiction often glosses over the faults of the characters. This can be done heavily or lightly or none at all. I think perverse-idyll did it none at all. This is by far the hardest to write I imagine. At least when I was still trying to write, the hardest part was writing what I didn't like about the character. I wanted them all perfect, you know. Of course then there was no story... and you see why I don't try to write anymore. :D The characters are human, flawed, jaded. Harry's obsession is soooo like him. Snape's bite is just right. And despite that this should mean, the author works it 'til in the end... its perfect!
